Bal Kendra: Pre-Montessori and Montessori 1 :: 2.6 – 2.11 years

  • Encouraging the development of social skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work cooperatively with peers.
  • Providing age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Activities promoting gross and fine motor skills through play, movement, and sensory activities.

Bal Vatika: Skalvi Foundational Years :: Montessori 2, Montessori 3, Grade 1 & Grade 2

  • Program to Foster love for language through storytelling, conversations, and exposure to various forms of communication.

Nurturing creativity, imagination, and self-expression through arts, crafts, music, and dramatic play. It will encourage independence in tasks like dressing, eating, and personal hygiene, fostering a sense of autonomy. It will introduce foundational concepts such as early literacy and numeracy skills, setting the stage for a smooth transition to formal education. It will promote an understanding and appreciation of diversity, cultural differences, and social values.

Skalvi Preparatory Years :: Grade 3 to Grade 5

This program nurtures students with natural curiosity to engage with the social and practical world around them. It will be sustained, extended, and expanded as they grow. This program will encourage student to develop specific skills of art – visual arts, music, dance/movement, and theatre. These skills will enable students to effectively express emotions and thoughts through art, thus improving their sense of health and well-being.

SKALVI MIDDLE YEARS (GRADE 6 – 8)

This stage develops a scientific temper inline with “Inculcate scientific temper and encourage evidence-based thinking throughout the curriculum”. The ability to formulate problems, develop many alternative solutions, evaluate different solutions to choose the most optimal solution, and implement the solution is very valuable. It develops excellent verbal and written communication capacities. This program is closely linked to the developmental domains of the child – physical development, socio-emotional-ethical development, cognitive development, language and literacy development, and aesthetic and cultural development. These domains of development are also informed by the Panchakosha imagination.

SKALVI SECONDARY YEARS (GRADE 9-12)

The program is based on the subject-oriented pedagogical and curricular style of the Middle Stage, but with greater depth, greater critical thinking, greater attention to life aspirations, and greater flexibility and student choice of subjects.
